resurrecting forever

 She kept stars in her eyes
 with fingers crossed
 knowing full well she shouldn’t trust
 but he blew hope in her heart
bringing love back to life
made the impossible seem
possibly perfect
on cloud 9 strides she’d confessed to herself
things that she’d dare not speak aloud
promising  she’d relish  time spent
never making him pay for past lovers’ sins
 she’d enjoy each moment
 as if it was brand new
as if heartache hadn’t knocked her down a peg or two
as if  the last bout never plugged doubt so deep in her heart
that the idea of love was so far removed
that she’d actually laugh
at the thought of something true
he blew
hope in her heart
blurred her rearview
so all she could see was he
bliss wrapped in chocolate draped in magnificence
he
the epitome of masculinity
he
the fresh air the filled the room
she kept
stars in her eyes
blinded by
the newness
and he blew hope in her heart
resurrecting emotions buried
ashes to ashes
dust to dust
bliss wrapped in chocolate
draped in magnificence
cloud 9 strides
unspoken confessions
impossibly perfect
she
he
you
me

Sunday, Sept 8th - Journaling Scripture

Sunday: Ephesians 1:7-12

7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace 8 which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence,9 having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself, 10 that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both[a] which are in heaven and which are on earth—in Him. 11 In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will, 12 that we who first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory. King James Version

Ephesians 1:7-12

Living Bible (TLB)
So overflowing is his kindness toward us that he took away all our sins through the blood of his Son, by whom we are saved; and he has showered down upon us the richness of his grace—for how well he understands us and knows what is best for us at all times.
God has told us his secret reason for sending Christ, a plan he decided on in mercy long ago; 10 and this was his purpose: that when the time is ripe he will gather us all together from wherever we are—in heaven or on earth—to be with him in Christ forever. 11 Moreover, because of what Christ has done, we have become gifts to God that he delights in, for as part of God’s sovereign plan we were chosen from the beginning to be his, and all things happen just as he decided long ago. 12 God’s purpose in this was that we should praise God and give glory to him for doing these mighty things for us, who were the first to trust in Christ.

Saturday September 7th - Journaling Scripture

Saturday: Job 31:16-23

“If I have kept the poor from their desire,
Or caused the eyes of the widow to fail,
17 Or eaten my morsel by myself,
So that the fatherless could not eat of it
18 (But from my youth I reared him as a father,
And from my mother’s womb I guided the widow[a]);
19 If I have seen anyone perish for lack of clothing,
Or any poor man without covering;
20 If his heart[b] has not blessed me,
And if he was not warmed with the fleece of my sheep;
21 If I have raised my hand against the fatherless,
When I saw I had help in the gate;
22 Then let my arm fall from my shoulder,
Let my arm be torn from the socket.
23 For destruction from God is a terror to me,
And because of His magnificence I cannot endure.

 After reading this scripture I thought to myself, where does this come from. So I decided to read the entire chapter.  All in all, if I am not a good person I'd rather lose an appendage than have to answer to God. In my opinion we should all fear God. Not fear as though we are genuinely afraid to approach HIM but fear in reverence.  The same way we should rever our earthly parents.  How can we even expect any goodness from our Lord if we are so despicable to one another? I will be honest it is hard hard hard not to treat some folk like the bottom of my shoe - only because of how I've been treated or even the slightest hint of disrespect. I have turned the other cheek often but the older I get the less I tolerate outright disrespect. I think I am going on a tangent with this.  We should protect the innocent, feed the hungry, clothe the naked, house the homeless. We should treat each other as Christ would treat us. Everyone isn't able to help one another monetarily, but the giving of your time and true charity (love) is what being Christians is about.

Friday: Exodus 23: 20-22

20 “Behold, I send an Angel before you to keep you in the way and to bring you into the place which I have prepared. 21 Beware of Him and obey His voice; do not provoke Him, for He will not pardon your transgressions; for My name is in Him. 22 But if you indeed obey His voice and do all that I speak, then I will be an enemy to your enemies and an adversary to your adversaries.

-------------------------

I am behind on my journaling. I sat down with this ON Friday but really didn't have must to say on the scripture. I think I looked up various versions but they all say the same thing to me. This is my boy, I'm sending him to show you how to get to the spot. He isn't taking any foolishness so do as he says, I maybe lenient on you but he won't be. If you do as I tell you and follow him, then I'll fight yo' battles and keep peace in those places where peace already exsist.  I am not trying to be sacrilegious by far. But this is what I think when I read this. I wonder however, in our lives currently - does God send us Earth Angels that we should follow and don't? Are our Pastors/Bishops/Elders and the like charged with this same thing as they guide us and we may or may not fall in line so to speak?!? At the end of the day if we follow what HE has laid out for us, we can never go wrong.

Thursday: Deuteronomy 11:25-28

25 No man shall be able to stand against you; the Lord your God will put the dread of you and the fear of you upon all the land where you tread, just as He has said to you.
26 “Behold, I set before you today a blessing and a curse: 27 the blessing, if you obey the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you today; 28 and the curse, if you do not obey the commandments of the Lord your God, but turn aside from the way which I command you today, to go after other gods which you have not known.

--------------

Deuteronomy 11:25-28

New International Version (NIV)
25 No one will be able to stand against you. The Lord your God, as he promised you, will put the terror and fear of you on the whole land, wherever you go.
26 See, I am setting before you today a blessing and a curse— 27 the blessing if you obey the commands of the Lord your God that I am giving you today; 28 the curse if you disobeythe commands of the Lord your God and turn from the way that I command you today by following other gods, which you have not known.

--------------------------

Deuteronomy 11:25-28

The Message (MSG)
22-25 That’s right. If you diligently keep all this commandment that I command you to obey—love God, your God, do what he tells you, stick close to him—God on his part will drive out all these nations that stand in your way. Yes, he’ll drive out nations much bigger and stronger than you. Every square inch on which you place your foot will be yours. Your borders will stretch from the wilderness to the mountains of Lebanon, from the Euphrates River to the Mediterranean Sea. No one will be able to stand in your way. Everywhere you go, God-sent fear and trembling will precede you, just as he promised.
26 I’ve brought you today to the crossroads of Blessing and Curse.
27 The Blessing: if you listen obediently to the commandments of God, your God, which I command you today.
28 The Curse: if you don’t pay attention to the commandments of God, your God, but leave the road that I command you today, following other gods of which you know nothing.
-----------

So another one of those scriptures that I need to read another version of.  As long as we keep his commandments and chose the blessing vs the curse we are covered. Because basically if God is for us WHO can be against us? Living in this worldly world is difficult tho. As we grow and become more apart of the world and less of the spirit world it become second nature to bend the "word" to encompass our worldly decisions. There's no grey area with God. As such as we fence ride we find that our "enemies" are able to shake us, that we are easily depressed and at a constant state of unrest.  Thankfully God is forgiving and he knows our hearts. Because if not, I know myself personally I would have been perished in this life.  The more energy we put into HIM and his WORD the energy we have about this life.

Wednesday: Psalm 127:1-2

Unless the Lord builds the house,
They labor in vain who build it;
Unless the Lord guards the city,
The watchman stays awake in vain.
2 It is vain for you to rise up early,
To sit up late,
To eat the bread of sorrows;
For so He gives His beloved sleep.

-------------------------------

REAL SIMPLE: If its not of GOD then it is of man and is worldly and unstable. AS SUCH it will not grow or prosper. It will not be for our spiritual benefit and as such it will deteriorate and in turn deteriorate our spirit and hinder our spiritual growth.

Tuesday: 1 Chronicles 28:9-10

9 “As for you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve Him with a loyal heart and with a willing mind; for the Lord searches all hearts and understands all the intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will cast you off forever. 10 Consider now, for the Lord has chosen you to build a house for the sanctuary; be strong, and do it.”

From this scripture what stands out the most for me is "If you seek Him, He will be found by you" at times we feel completely lost. Like walking out of the house and forgetting our cell phones. We should feel the same way in life, by walking out of the house without placing our "full armor" on.  If we are constantly seeking HIM and delighting ourselves in him, we should always know that we are on the right path. Even when those around you may not accept or understand the things that you say or do God does and he understands your heart and your intent, even if our fellow man does not. When God chose you to do a task, no matter how hard it seems, no matter how uncomfortable we may feel about it - we must be strong and obedient for in the end it is in our benefit, either directly or indirectly.
